Shrewsbury Chocolate Festival will be taking place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November 2016. The festival is open from 10am till 5pm both days, and the festival is free to enter!
Our delicious festival is held in the stunning St Mary’s Church, which is in the heart of Shrewsbury and near many shops. We are very lucky to be able to extend the festival this year, to an area outside the church, which means we will be able to offer more exhibitor space, and more choice of scrumptious chocolate!
We will be running lolly pop workshops from 11am till 4pm each day, the workshops are free, but we will be accepting donations for charity. Our chosen festival charities are the Shrewsbury Ark and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The Chocolate Festival will be promoting a wonderful array of chocolatiers from Shropshire and the surrounding counties as well as introducing some of the most talented chocolatiers from around the country and world. The organisers of the festival are passionate about introducing high quality handmade chocolate which has a story. We have lots of exciting chocolatiers and bean to bar makers based across the UK who care about where the chocolate or beans they use come from. All our chocolatiers believe cocoa farmers should be paid a proper wage, and that they live and work in safe conditions.
Producers attending the event sell a wide range of chocolates, which include ranges of gluten free, vegan, organic, raw, single origin and fair-trade.
